Stand with feet a little more than shoulder-width apart, hands in guard position.

Bend knees until thighs are parallel to the ground.

Straighten legs to return to starting position. Step feet together.

Bring knee into your chest, side kick to the side, and return foot to the ground. Step back to starting position. Repeat the entire exercise, alternating the kicking leg each time. Each kick is one repetition.
